Play Tongits online for free

Tongits (also written tong-its) is the Philippines' favourite rummy game, made for exactly three players. Play it free in your browser against two bots, or open a private table and send the link to two friends. No download, no account.

Each player gets 12 cards (the dealer 13). Build sets and runs, lay them on the table, and be the first to get rid of every card. Or, if you think your hand is the lowest, call Draw and see if anyone dares to fight.

How to play Tongits

  1. Draw or take. Draw from the stock, or take the top discard if you can meld it straight away with two or more cards from your hand.
  2. Meld. Lay down sets (three or four of a rank) and runs (three or more in a suit, ace low). Your first meld opens your hand.
  3. Sapaw. Add your cards to any meld on the table, even another player's. It also stops that player calling Draw on their next turn.
  4. Discard. End your turn by throwing one card on the discard pile.
  5. Win. Empty your hand for a Tongits, win a Draw call, or have the lowest hand when the stock runs out. A player who never opened is burned.

Play against AI opponents

The bots play by the same rules and never see your cards. Easy bots meld what they can; Medium bots keep their hands low; Hard bots watch the discards, call Draw at the right moment and use sapaw to block you.
