Guandan (掼蛋) is China's great team card game, and you can play it free in your browser: you and a bot partner against two bots, or a private table for four friends. No download, no account.
Two decks and four jokers are dealt out, 27 cards each. Beat each play with a bigger one of the same kind, or a bomb, and be first to empty your hand. Your team climbs the levels from 2 toward Ace; the level card ranks just below the jokers, and its two hearts are wild.
How to play Guandan
- Teams. Your partner sits across from you. You win and lose together.
- Beat or pass. Play a higher combination of the same type, or a bomb, or pass. A pass doesn't stop you playing later in the round.
- Bombs. Four to ten of a kind, straight flushes, and four jokers on top beat any ordinary play.
- Go out. The first player out wins the hand for their team: up 3 levels if the partner is second, 2 if third, 1 if last.
- Tribute. Next hand, the losers give their best card to the winners and get a low one back.
Play with a bot partner
The bots play by the same rules and never see your cards. Your bot partner won't beat your winning play, feeds you low cards when you're nearly out, and saves its bombs for when they count. Choose a short match to 6, or the full climb to Ace.
