Play Sâm Lốc online for free
Sâm Lốc, usually just called Sâm, is a Vietnamese climbing card game, and you can play it free in your browser with no download and no sign-up. Each player gets 10 cards from a 52-card deck, and the first to play them all wins the hand.
It is a cousin of Tiến Lên with its own twists: suits never count, straights can start A-2-3, and before play starts you can declare Sâm, promising to go out without anyone beating a single play.
How to play Sâm Lốc
- Deal. Each player gets 10 cards. Some deals, like ten cards in one straight, win on the spot.
- Declare Sâm or not. In turn, each player may declare Sâm. The first to declare leads; win and each player pays you 20, get beaten and you pay each of them 20.
- Beat or pass. Beat the last play with a higher combination of the same kind and size, or pass. A pass keeps you out until the trick ends.
- Take the lead. When everyone else has passed, the last player to play starts a new trick with anything.
- Go out. The first to empty their hand wins. Everyone else pays a point per card, more for 2s left in hand, and 15 if they never played a card.
