Play the BS card game online for free

BS is the bluffing card game where lying is part of the rules. Play it free in your browser against bots at a table of 3 to 6, or start a private game and send the link to your friends. No download, no app and no account needed.

You may know it as Cheat (its usual name in the UK), I Doubt It, or Bluff. The rules are the same: get rid of all your cards, and call BS when you think someone is lying.

How to play BS

  1. Deal. The whole deck is dealt out: 13 cards each with four players.
  2. Claim. On your turn, put 1 to 4 cards face-down and claim they are the rank in play. Ranks go A, 2, 3 … K, then start again.
  3. Bluff. Don't have the rank you need? Play something else and claim it anyway.
  4. Call BS. After any claim, the other players have a few seconds to call BS. The cards are flipped, and whoever was wrong picks up the whole pile.
  5. Win. The first player to empty their hand wins, as long as their last claim survives a call.

Bots that bluff back

The bots on bs.fyi only know what you'd know at a real table: their own cards, the claims and the size of the pile. Easy bots bluff at random and rarely call. Hard bots hide bluffs inside true claims, keep the cards they'll need, and count what's in their hand to catch impossible claims.
