Who We Are

bs.fyi is operated by Furvur Inc, a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada. We provide a free browser-based platform for playing classic card games.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• •Email address — used for account identification
• •Username (alias) — your public display name
• •Password — stored securely using bcrypt hashing (we never store your actual password)

Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in with Google, we keep only your email address and your Google account ID, to link your Google account to your bs.fyi account. We do not keep your name or your profile picture.

Gameplay Data

When you play games, we store:

• •Game results (wins, losses, scores)
• •Leaderboard statistics (aggregated performance data)
• •Active game state (cards in hand, game progress) — deleted when games end

Guest Players

You can play without an account. For guest players, we only store a temporary session identifier and a randomly generated display name. This data is not linked to any personal information and is cleared when your browser session ends.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• •IP addresses or location data
• •Payment or billing information (the service is free)
• •Phone numbers or physical addresses
• •Chat messages or private communications
• •Table reactions: the preset emoji you send at a shared table go to the other players and are not stored
• •Device fingerprints or detailed technical information

Analytics Services

We use third-party analytics to understand how people use our service:

• •Google Analytics — collects anonymized usage data including pages visited, time spent, and general location (country/city level). Google may set cookies on your browser. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• •Plausible Analytics — a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. See Plausible's Privacy Policy.

Cookies

We use cookies for:

• •Session management — to keep you logged in and maintain your game state
• •Analytics — Google Analytics may set cookies (Plausible does not)

Session cookies are encrypted and essential for the service to function. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this may prevent you from logging in or playing games.

How We Use Your Information

• •To authenticate you and maintain your account
• •To display your username to other players, with a cartoon character picked from it (never a photo)
• •To track your game statistics and show leaderboards
• •To improve the service based on aggregated usage patterns

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing emails. We do not share your data with third parties except as described in this policy (analytics services and Google for authentication).

Data Retention

We retain your account information and game statistics indefinitely while your account exists. Active game data (cards, game state) is deleted shortly after games conclude. Matchmaking queue entries expire automatically after 10 minutes.

Your Rights and Limitations

We want to be transparent about our current capabilities:

• •Data export — We do not currently offer a way to download your data.
• •Account deletion — We do not currently offer self-service account deletion.

Age Requirement

bs.fyi is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected information from someone under 18, please contact us immediately.

Data Security

We protect your data using industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all connections, encrypted session cookies, and secure password hashing. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
